To name a few, Japan was known as a shoddy imitator in terms of producing goods. It took a dramatic turn, however, when it applied this 'rule of vital few' in rectifying the quality of their products.
How it works: Although it sounds astonishing, 4/5th of our daily effort/input/causes result in only 20% of the result/output/reward. To cut to the chase, only a minority (here 20% roughly) of our inputs are pivotal for our success, or a minority of causes lead to great fallout.
This means, if we pinpoint those "Vital few" thingies, we can invest our concentration to derive great payoffs.
Intriguing indeed
