Time to get off the hamster wheel!

As the best creation of our Creator (refers to the entity (s) of respective religion), all of us wants to become exceptional in our respective zones by committing ourselves to hard work or dare I say, smart work. Our idiosyncrasies can facilitate us in standing out of the crowd which I believe is a dream that every individual cuddles. Our dreams make us who we are and give us a virtual world to dwell in. However, this very dream is only confined to our imaginary world should we do not transform it into a real, tangible, concrete plan or goal. This is the phase where we lumber, or worst get stuck, and undoubtedly most people dropout from getting to be their best versions. But I do not get it as to why it is so grueling for us to take out our notebooks and pens, or even our gizmos (if you like to think you’re a smart worker) to jot our goals down and turn them into daily, monthly, quarterly or even yearly achievable SMART (Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound) plans! After much reflection and a little bit of research (via Youtube motivational videos), I got the arch-nemesis- PROCRASTINATION. To be clear, procrastination means shrugging off the important tasks that need to be done today with the excuse of finishing it up later on. And so, the true warriors of the 21st century are those who beat their procrastination, day-in-day-out relentlessly and are tenacious towards their crusades (grand efforts towards what’s worthy to them). Now if you’re a warrior (as mentioned in the preceding sentence), then you’re just a step away to get off your hamster wheel!

The stepping stone is to have a daily tracking journal and penning through the tasks that you’ve done with at the day end. This might sound platitude, but this really works and helps you transcend the pressures of a heavy workload. Make sure you’re only taking baby steps each day, don’t be hard on you. Your sauce of success lies in this very journal!!!

Stuck at the Pymetrics Test! Never imagined in my wildest dream that even after earning a decent CGPA from a renowned university of the country, one has to struggle to get into a global corporation! However, the reality is this is only the tip of the iceberg. I bet almost every kid is enamored with the word ‘Game’ and why she/he wouldn’t when the games involve no external pressure to commit to, no hard-core expectations, no marks and the list goes on. Most importantly, gaming is not supervised by picky adults or teachers who often care about the outcomes rather than the efforts. Interestingly, nowadays many global and multinational companies are heavily leaning on several such gaming techs to gauge the most sought emotional intelligence (EI) of their potential employees. Therefore, results and university accomplishments that are presented and showcased via traditional resumes or CVs ...
